How Do I Start Sending Campaigns?
Getting started with sending campaigns in Maileroo is a simple and structured process. Follow the steps below to create a domain, set up an organization, add contacts, and start sending your campaigns.
Step 1: Set Up a Domain
Before sending campaigns, you need to establish a domain. You have two options:
- Claim a Free Maileroo Domain: Navigate to the 'Domain' section in your navigation menu. Click 'Add New Domain +', then select 'Choose a Maileroo Domain'. Follow the prompts to create your free domain with the maileroo.app suffix (e.g., yourdomain.maileroo.app). Once created, the domain cannot be changed.
- Use Your Own Custom Domain: If you already have a custom domain, you can add it to Maileroo instead.
Step 2: Create an Organization
An organization in Maileroo helps you manage your campaigns, contacts, and sender identities. To create one:
- Go to the 'Organization' section in the sidebar menu.
- Click 'Create New Organization' and name it to your liking.
- Once created, click on the 'Organization' button in the sidebar and select the organization you've created.
- Click 'Overview', and this will take you to your organization's dashboard.
You will now see additional options under the 'Organization' drop-down in the sidebar.
Step 3: Add Contacts
To start building your audience, you need to add contacts to your organization:
- Click on 'Contacts' in the sidebar.
- Choose 'Create New List' to create a contact list. You can either: Follow the prompts to complete this process.
- Add Contacts Manually: Input each contact one by one.
- Import Contacts: Upload a list of contacts for an automatic import.
Make sure that all contacts added have consented to receiving emails from you, as this is essential for compliance and delivering successful campaigns.
Step 4: Set Up Your Sender Identity
Now that your contacts are set, you need to connect a sender identity to the domain you created earlier. This allows you to send emails from this particular domain:
- Navigate to the 'Settings' option under the 'Organization' drop-down in the sidebar.
- Once in the Settings page, the first tab you’ll see is 'Sender Identities'.
- Click 'New Sender Identity +' in the top right corner.
- A modal will appear where you can:
- Select the domain you wish to use for this organization.
- Enter the relevant alias for sending emails (e.g., newsletter@yourdomain.maileroo. app).
- Once saved, your sender identity is established, allowing you to send emails from this specific domain.
Step 5: Create and Send a Campaign
With everything in place, you’re now ready to start sending email campaigns:
- Navigate to the 'Campaigns' section from the sidebar.
- Click 'Create Campaign' in the top right corner.
- Follow the prompts to set up your campaign, including selecting recipients, writing your email, and scheduling the campaign.
Tips for a Smooth Campaign Setup
- Create a Template First: Consider creating an email template before setting up your campaign for a quicker setup. However, you can also create a template during the campaign creation process.
- Complete All Steps: Ensure that all the steps above—creating a domain, organization, adding contacts, and setting up a sender identity—are completed before creating a campaign for a seamless experience.
- Ensure Consent: Double-check that all contacts added to your list have given explicit consent to receive emails from you. This helps avoid issues with spam filters and maintains compliance with email marketing regulations.
By following these steps, you'll be ready to start sending professional and effective email campaigns using Maileroo.
