What DNS records are necessary for setting up Maileroo?

When setting up Maileroo for your outbound emails, it's crucial to configure specific DNS records. These records are vital for ensuring that your emails are delivered reliably and securely.

  1. DKIM: This is an important DNS record and allows us to sign emails on your behalf.
  2. SPF: This is also very crucial and lets the other receiving email service providers know that our IP addresses are allowed to send on your behalf. You don't have to copy our DNS record exactly, but you can also include our IP block inside your existing SPF record by adding:
include:_spf.maileroo.com
  1. MX: This is not necessary if you're using an existing service to receive your email addresses.
  2. DMARC: Implementing a DMARC record is highly recommended for enhancing email security. This record tells email providers how to handle emails that don't pass SPF or DKIM checks. However, it is not required by default.
