An Application is a self-contained email stream inside your account. Each one has its own sending domains, its own allowlists, and its own outbound IP routing, which keeps transactional mail and marketing mail from sharing a reputation.

Most accounts start with a single sending setup and outgrow it. These are the situations where splitting traffic into Applications tends to be worth the setup time.
One Application per client, each with its own verified domains, approved sender addresses, and outbound IPs. Client configurations stay independent under a single login and a single invoice.
Support, billing, and product email each run in their own stream. Changing one team's sending domain or credentials has no effect on the others.
Keep transactional email separate from marketing. Complaints from a campaign stay attached to the marketing stream and its IPs, rather than affecting delivery of password resets and receipts.
Each product gets an Application with its own domains and routing policy. Adding a product means adding a stream, not a second account to reconcile.
Run many streams from one account, each pinned to specific outbound IPs. Keys, domains, and reporting stay in one place instead of spread across several logins.
Issue a vendor credentials scoped to a single Application, restricted to their IP range and to the recipient domains you approve. Their access cannot extend past that Application.
Each Application carries its own settings: what it is permitted to send, how that mail leaves the network, and how its results are reported back to you.
An Application needs a name and, optionally, an internal note describing what it is used for. From there you set its restrictions: which verified domains it may send from, which local parts are permitted in the From address such as noreply, support, or billing, and which recipient domains it is allowed to send to.
Any field left empty stays unrestricted. Credentials can also be limited to specific IPs or CIDR ranges, so a leaked API key is unusable from outside your network.
Every Application can be assigned the outbound IPs its mail sends through. A common setup is transactional email on a dedicated, carefully warmed IP with bulk campaigns on a separate set, so the two reputations stay independent.
Leave the selection empty and the Application falls back to your account default: the shared pool if you have no dedicated IPs, or round-robin across all of them if you do.
Delivery, bounce, and complaint data is then reported per Application, so a failing domain or a campaign drawing complaints shows up against that stream instead of being averaged away by healthy traffic elsewhere.
Applications are available on every plan, including the free tier. Add streams as you need them and pay for sending volume rather than per seat or per add-on.
Pick a plan based on how many emails you send each month. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel anytime. No lock-in, no hidden fees.
